Overview
As a licensed home care services agency, SARA caregivers are required to follow and adhere to many policies and regulations to keep patients safe, maintain clients’ privacy, meet and exceed agency standards of performance, and keep their HHA certificate in good standing.
Fortunately, the SARA website is here to help caregivers keep track of all policies and procedures. Many of them have also been discussed during orientation and in-service classes, as well as, with HR Compliance team members, but are here as reminders for you.
You must follow policies and procedures. If you do not understand them, please reach out to a SARA team member for clarification.
- Questions should be addressed to the proper department. If you’re not sure, call SARA for further direction.
- Issues about a patient’s health should be discussed with the Clinical Registered Nurse or DPS.
- The Staffing department will assist you with scheduling and other questions.
- The HR Compliance team is here to respond to all your questions about personal matters, including Compliance issues.
- Accounting is available to answer your payroll questions.
It is critical to follow the policies and procedures of SARA which sometimes are not the same as the client’s wishes.
The Care Plan for the Patient must be adhered to at all times. If there is any issue, it needs to be brought to the attention of SARA and the appropriate person will handle it with the client.
If there is a Health emergency that requires a doctor, call 911. Then contact SARA immediately.
